While a central message of my campaign is questioning the permeating presence and disproportionate influence of money in politics, the unfortunate fact of the matter is simply this: That message will not get to the people who need to hear it the most without some money. In that vein, then, I will be forced to ask supporters from across the 5th District, and like-minded individuals across the country, for donations to support my campaign and help disseminate this important message.

Please bear in mind that, as we've all had to do with our personal finances during these tough economic times, my campaign will also run a tight budget to ensure that every penny is stretched until it screams. I vow to double- and triple-check each supplier for bumper stickers, signs, and promotional materials (including TV and radio advertising) to make sure campaign resources are being put to the most efficient use possible. After all, YOU work hard for your money, and, as fiscally responsible as you are with that money, it should be put to even more effective use when entrusted to others, whether it be your local, state, or Federal government, your favorite charity, or a political campaign. As we’ve come to expect from governments, other people’s money is spent much less carefully than one’s own. I solemnly vow to defy that paradigm, both during this campaign, and once I take OUR seat in OUR House in Washington, D.C.
